Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) outlines the appropriate and compliant use of the Amazon Services API. This policy applies to all services provided by WBO Solutions when accessing or using Amazon SP-API as an authorized Solution Provider.
In addition to this AUP, WBO complies with the Amazon Solution Provider Agreement and the Amazon Data Protection Policy (“DPP”). Violations may result in suspension or termination of SP-API access.

1. Perform Acceptable Amazon Activities

The Amazon Services API may only be used by authorized Solution Providers to help Amazon Sellers build, manage, and grow their business on Amazon.

Requirements:

  • Use the Amazon Services API only to perform authorized and acceptable activities.

  • Do not facilitate or promote violations of any Amazon agreements.

  • If misuse is identified, notify Amazon (spapi-abuse@amazon.com) and block the account.

  • Follow all Amazon policies relating to the APIs and services you support.

2. Provide Quality Applications & Services

Transparency

  • Do not advertise or represent services falsely.

  • Be transparent about the data accessed and its purpose.

  • Do not alter or manipulate customer or seller information.

  • Clearly communicate the use of calculations, AI models, logic accuracy, and freshness.

Compliance

  • Comply with all applicable laws including privacy and data security regulations.

  • Do not provide or use services that violate intellectual property rights.

Performance & Reliability

  • Maintain availability and stable performance for your services.

  • Identify risks before launching features that may impact authorized users.

  • Respect API throttling limits and minimize technical errors.

  • Maintain data integrity validation processes, especially for analytics or automation.

3. Keep Data Secure

Account Access

  • Never share access keys, passwords, or Seller Central credentials.

  • Do not request or accept access keys belonging to others.

  • Only act when properly authorized by the seller.

  • Do not apply for unused keys; unused access keys are removed every 90 days.

  • Do not request sellers to share data manually from Amazon portals.

  • When portal access is required, use secondary user permissions only.

Data Access

  • Request only data required for application functionality.

  • Limit internal data access to need-to-know basis.

  • Do not circumvent throttling quotas or create duplicate accounts.

  • Notify Amazon within 30 days of any business or structural change.

  • Disclose affiliated entities when requesting additional roles.

  • Follow the Amazon Data Protection Policy fully.

4. Use Data for Acceptable Purposes

Allowed Use

  • Use PII only for merchant-fulfilled shipping or legal requirements.

  • Document any necessary processing of PII with Authorized Users.

Prohibited Use

  • Do not target Amazon customers for marketing or generate fake reviews.

  • Do not use or sell external data combined with Amazon data.

  • Do not aggregate data across multiple sellers.

  • Do not publish insights about Amazon business performance or operations.

Data Sharing Limitations

  • Do not disclose information to any third parties unless required to perform authorized tasks.

  • Share data only with parties meeting equal or higher security standards.

  • For PII transfer, ensure proper legal agreements exist.

  • Be transparent about what data is shared, with whom, and why.

5. API-Specific Requirements

  • If using Buyer-Seller Messaging, comply with regional Communications Guidelines.

  • Support Amazon-approved messaging templates when required.

  • Comply with Merchant Fulfillment API, Freight Services API, Amazon Business API, Page View Report, and End User Data Report terms when applicable.
